Piega Coax Gen2 411 Bookshelf Speakers - As Traded

Based on the success of the Coax 311 bookshelf speaker, Piega's latest entry level 411 offers a larger cabinet for increased low frequency output.

The new C112+ coaxial ribbon covers a majority of the frequency response, crossing over to the custom designed SEAS' 160 mm UHQD woofer at 450Hz. The C112+ obviously gets particular attention with additional cross-bracing, a newly developed special coating on the foil and a central web that allows an additional neodymium above the tweeter. To reduce distortions caused by micro-resonances in the magnetic field, the magnetic rods have been mechanically decoupled. 

Piega's own “Tension Improve Module 2” (TIM2) sets the seamless extruded aluminum cabinet under controlled tension by applying pressure to the inner walls, and tensile stress and positive connection to the cabinet. Any final micro-resonances are damped with viscoelastic damping foils.
