Overview

The Pass Labs XA100.5 monoblock power amplifier operates in pure Class A up to the rated output of 100 watts, transitioning to Class AB operation for additional headroom up to 175 watts when required. The output stage uses 40 MOSFET devices per amplifier.

XA100.5 employs Pass Labs’ symmetrical circuit topology, using closely matched circuit halves to reduce distortion and noise, while a minimal two-stage gain structure avoids global negative feedback. 

With large power supplies, fast rectifiers, increased capacitor banks, improved EMI filtering, quieter power transformers, and revised bias regulation, the .5 series further improves an already impressive design. 

Two sets of parallel loudspeaker binding posts allow bi-wiring. 

A 12V trigger is included for easy system integration.
