Patented Driver Technology

JL Audio’s transducers and driver technologies are patented and produced in-house. Referred to as Dynamic Motor Analysis modelling, this driver system has been developed and refined since 1997, targeting motor linearity to reduce distortion and faithfully reproduce transients.

Sealed-Enclosure Engineering

JL Audio's powered subwoofers use tightly engineered sealed cabinets, prioritising fast, accurate transient response and a predictable low-frequency rolloff.

Reference-Grade Amplification

Each powered subwoofer pairs its driver with a purpose-matched internal amplifier, so that power delivery, thermal headroom, and driver behaviour are engineered as a single system.

Precision Calibration Controls

Beyond automatic room correction, JL Audio provides fine manual control over level, phase, polarity, and low-pass characteristics, letting an installer dial the subwoofer precisely into a room and blend it with the main speakers.
