Dela (Formerly Melco)

In 1975, the company started as audio manufacturer in Nagoya, Japan. In response to market changes, they shifted to the manufacturing and sales of IT equipment, growing as Buffalo. Approximately 40 years later, leveraging the IT technology Buffalo had developed, they returned to their audio roots with the name "MELCO". Supported by audio enthusiasts, they celebrated their 50th anniversary in 2025.

In this milestone year, Melco are taking a new step forward with a new brand name - Dela.

DELA – In French, it means ‘Beyond,’ and in the dialect of our company’s birthplace, Nagoya, it means ‘Extremely.
‘ To go beyond, with extremely high quality and performance products.’

DELA embodies this vision.
