Overview

Gryphon's Antileon Signature is a fully balanced, dual-mono stereo power amplifier designed around a high-current Class A output stage with ultra-wide bandwidth. 40 specially selected bipolar output transistors provide high-frequency and high-current capability.

Twin 1,500 W toroidal transformers, separately supplying each channel, are shielded and epoxy-damped, with independent supplies for the output, driver, control and display circuits. A 440,000 µF capacitor bank provides substantial energy storage for the output stages.

A circuit with zero global feedback uses no output relays and no contacts, sockets or current-limiting circuitry in the signal path. Solid copper busbars and 105 µm copper PCB traces manage the internal signal transfer, and Gryphon's Guideline Reference gold-embedded silver wiring connects the balanced XLR inputs.

Custom zero-inductance resistors, custom-built binding posts, DC servo coupling and a frequency-independent damping factor complete the signal-path. Microprocessor-controlled protection continuously monitors DC, high-frequency conditions, overheating, short circuits and low AC voltage without placing protection circuitry in the signal path. 

Bias can be set automatically through Green Class A operation or manually using Low/High settings.
