Stunning Sound And Exhilarating Experiences With KEF’S Compact LSX II Wireless HiFi System
Experience the joy and escapism that class-leading sound brings with the launch of the KEF LSX II Wireless HiFi System (official launch date: 23 June 2022). Hear every detail of your favourite song, feel the tension of the latest game, or lose yourself in a binge-worthy boxset. This compact, wireless speaker system delivers high-fidelity audio into your living room, home office or studio.
Harnessing over 60 years of KEF’s acoustic excellence, LSX II is an enhancement of the original, award-winning LSX range. Complementing the contemporary and minimal design created by renowned industrial designer Michael Young, the LSX II features technological innovations and unrivalled accessibility to intensify all listening experiences.
Plug and Play
Versatile and relatable in every way, the LSX II is the next generation of plug and play speaker system. Featuring the new W2 wireless platform, comprehensive connectivity options, the KEF Connect app and extensive streaming possibilities, no matter how you listen to music, you can do so with the minimum of fuss. Plug into a TV, desktop, laptop, console, or turntable, and the room will instantly be filled with pristine and natural sound.
11th Generation Uni-Q® Driver
Thanks to the knowledge and experience of KEF’s talented engineers, LSX II features some of the brand’s pioneering technology to create high-fidelity audio. LSX II uses a specially designed version of KEF’s 11th generation Uni-Q® driver array to disperse sound around the room evenly. Optimised for the Uni-Q® driver, the advanced Music Integrity Engine delivers a perfectly timed performance for better clarity and a tighter, more accurate sound.
The two-speaker box approach also allows music to develop and breathe in a space, generating a three-dimensional soundstage. The speakers appear to disappear, leaving you to become fully immersed and drawn into the experience.
KEF Connect App
The latest KEF Connect app provides instant control over the speakers from the palm of your hand. Once the speakers have been unboxed, the app offers an intuitive on-boarding process to ensure a simple set-up. Easy connection for streaming, control and settings gives you the ability to personalise your audio and adjust the LSX II to best suit your home.
LSX II is available in five statement finishes:
Mineral White and Lava Red models finished with matte satin and high-gloss spray respectively, while Carbon Black and Cobalt Blue are clad in a specially designed fabric from Danish contemporary textile designer, Kvadrat. The Soundwave by Terence Conran Edition was one of the iconic British designer’s final collaborations. The version sees the ‘soundwave’ pattern woven into the unique Kvadrat fabric complemented with Conran’s signature blue on the speaker port and driver for a true statement.
Every aspect of the LSX II Wireless System has been carefully considered to complement and enhance your home entertainment experience. From multiroom connectivity with additional wireless speakers through Airplay 2, Chromecast or Roon, to interior statements with the colour-matched S1 floor stand or discreet desk and wall placement options with the P1 desk pad and B1 wall bracket. The flexibility and adaptability options of LSX II are effortless.

Our Review - Simplicity, Performance, Beauty of the KEF LSX 2
With over 36 years in the HiFi business, we have our thoughts on the KEF LSX 2. "Sure, there are entry level solutions that will do the same. But we're almost 100% certain than none will have the same level of musical performance that these do." Read our thoughts on the KEF LSX 2 here. - Check out our HiFi Tips and Tricks for more reviews, comparisons, how to guides and useful HiFi tips and tricks to get the most out of your system.
Can you use the KEF LSX II as a multi-room speaker?
Yes! The whole LS family from KEF, including the LSX 2, is designed to be a multiroom speaker allowing you to listen to the same material in different rooms. Using Google Chromecast or Apple Airplay 2, you can create groups and control volume, allowing the whole home to enjoy the same music.
Can you connect a turntable directly into the LSX II?
So long as your turntable has a phonostage, either in-built or external, then the LSX II can accept this signal via the 3.5mm input via appropriate cables. If you need any help to check out your setup, just get in touch.
Can you add a sub and what do you recommend?
The LSX II has a dedicated subwoofer output and is designed to support a subwoofer. This output can be used to connect directly to your subwoofer or using the KEF KW-1 wireless kit. As for which subwoofer to use, it depends on the size of the room and where you are planning to put it and how large a subwoofer cabinet you would like. For smaller rooms (<15 sqm), the KEF Kube 8b will be a perfect addition to the LSX II. For larger rooms, or if you want to have a really compact subwoofer, the KEF KC62 is a brilliant addition, able to fill a larger room despite being so small.
Is there an app?
The KEF Connect app is a propriety application designed for the KEF LS family, and it allows you to interact with the LSX II in all the ways you'd expect - source selection, input select, EQ settings and much more. If you don't want to use the app, the KEF LSX II supports Spotify Connect, Airplay 2, Chromecast, Bluetooth and Roon.
Can you adjust the EQ to suit your room?
Via the KEF Connect app, the KEF LSX II allows you to configure the LSX II for your listening space. The performance of the speaker can be adjusted to allow for desk placement, stand placement, on-wall placement and much more.
What connectivity options are there?
Lots! One of the things we love most about the LSX II is its versatility. It supports a bunch of connectivity options including Chromecast, Apple Airplay 2, Spotify Connect, Roon, Bluetooth, but also has a wide range of wired options as well, such as HDMI ARC for your TV, 3.5mm auxiliary for sources like turntables, CD players, computers, and optical.
