Kef Q Concerto Meta Bookshelf Speakers

The Q Concerto Meta HiFi speaker is the largest in the Q Series bookshelf speaker lineup, a modern tribute to the original 1969 Concerto, which was the first 3-way standmount speaker. This updated version delivers high-end, professional audio quality through its 3-way design and Metamaterial Absorption Technology (MAT™), ensuring high-fidelity performance.

Hybrid Aluminium Cone LF Drivers
Used in larger floorstanding models, these drivers feature a stiff aluminium skin and a paper cone, providing deep, punchy bass with minimal distortion, even at high volumes. A flexible decoupling chassis, inspired by KEF’s Blade and Reference series, minimizes unwanted vibrations, reducing colouration for a pure, unaltered sound.

Metamaterial Absorption Technology (MAT™)
MAT™ is an advanced sound absorption technology that eliminates 99% of unwanted sound from the rear of the tweeter, drastically reducing high-frequency distortion. This maze-like structure acts as an acoustic black hole, capturing unwanted sound and delivering clearer, more natural audio.

Enhanced Crossover Design
The crossover is meticulously redesigned with over 1,000 measurements to refine the signal path, ensuring pristine and natural sound from each speaker. This precision tuning, inspired by KEF's flagship models, guarantees seamless integration between the drivers.

12th Generation Uni-Q
KEF’s Uni-Q driver integrates the tweeter into the acoustic center of the midrange cone, producing more accurate, detailed sound. The 12th generation Uni-Q driver, optimized to work with MAT™, enhances clarity and overall acoustic performance.

Shadow Flare
Shadow Flare extends the waveguide effect of the Uni-Q array, reducing cabinet diffraction and eliminating acoustic interference from the speaker edges, resulting in clearer sound.

The SQ1 Floor Stand is designed to complement the Q Concerto Meta, Q3 Meta, and Q1 Meta HiFi speakers. Its aluminium construction offers exceptional rigidity, and for enhanced stability, the stand can be filled with inert filler.

For optimal performance, it is recommended to load the SQ1 Floor Stand with inert filler
