Solid Long-Grain Copper (LGC) Conductors
Solid Long-Grain Copper (LGC) delivers smoother, clearer sound compared to standard OFHC (Oxygen-Free High-Conductivity) copper. Solid conductors eliminate strand interaction, a primary source of distortion. LGC's superior surface quality serves as a guide for both the electric fields within and the magnetic fields outside the conductor. With fewer oxides, impurities, and grain boundaries, LGC ensures better overall performance.
Metal-Layer Noise-Dissipation
Achieving 100% shield coverage is simple, but preventing captured RFI (radio-frequency interference) from distorting the ground reference requires AQ's Noise-Dissipation. Unlike conventional shields that drain noise/RF energy to ground, which distorts the signal, Noise-Dissipation shields absorb and reflect most RF energy before it reaches the ground layer, maintaining signal integrity.
Foamed-Polyethylene Insulation
All materials adjacent to a conductor are part of an imperfect circuit. Conventional wire insulation absorbs energy, which is then released as distortion. Foamed-Polyethylene, with its high air content, minimizes energy absorption. Polyethylene’s low-loss characteristics ensure clearer sound by reducing the common out-of-focus effects caused by other materials.
Asymmetrical Double-Balanced Geometry
Designed for single-ended applications, Asymmetrical Double-Balanced Geometry lowers ground impedance, resulting in richer and more dynamic sound. Unlike typical single-ended cables that combine the ground and shield, Double-Balanced designs separate them, offering cleaner and quieter audio performance.
Cold-Welded, Gold-Plated Terminations
This design eliminates solder, a common source of distortion, by using a high-pressure cold-welding process. Instead of using machinable metals, this process employs metals specifically chosen for their low distortion characteristics, resulting in a more transparent connection.
