Overview

For those with fluctuating AC power, the PS Audio DirectStream PowerPlant P20 is a fantastic solution for reference level audio and home cinema systems, providing a steady AC supply to sensitive instruments.

Unlike passive conditioning, the P20 rebuilds the incoming mains by converting compromised AC into DC and then regenerating a perfectly regulated waveform with 2000 VA continuous output and peaks of 3600 VA, ensuring enough supply for high-powered amplifiers.

A low-impedance analog power amplifier is driven by a sophisticated FPGA-based DSD sine wave generator, with the output impedance measuring less than 0.005 ohms.

The P20 includes a full-colour 7-inch touchscreen with integrated oscilloscope, THD analyser, and power meters, offering real-time insight into both incoming and regenerated power quality. Five programmable independently controlled regenerated zones allow sensitive components to be isolated.

The PowerPlant P20 also provides protection for connected equipment. Its clamping and regulation circuitry safeguards against over- and under-voltage events, spikes and transients that can damage sensitive electronics.
