Overview
Following the introduction of the PREAMP II-S, Nagra expands its new Series II with the AMP II-S stereo power amplifier. Developed with the same attention to musical coherence, transparency and refinement, the AMP II-S is a natural partner to the PREAMP II-S, while its performance and versatility allow it to excel at the heart of any high-end audio system.
The AMP II-S succeeds the acclaimed Classic AMP, introduced in 2015. It preserves the qualities that made its predecessor so successful: natural tonal balance, effortless dynamics and the ability to combine power with refinement.
More than a decade of additional experience, including the development of Nagra’s HD and Reference electronics, has allowed our engineers to revisit every critical area of the amplifier, from the power supply and input stage to PCB layout, thermal management and mechanical construction. At the heart of the AMP II-S is a new power-supply architecture that provides greater energy reserves and increased voltage headroom.

- New input board, derived from Reference AMP, improves left/right channel separation for more precise imaging and spatial definition
- Hand-wiring from the input stage to the power amplifier for greater transparency and clarity
- New internal cabling for greater authority, generosity and definition
- Optimized PCB layout, rerouted circuitry further improves sonic performance
- Optically isolated controls and front panel for lower noise
