Overview
Moonriver were extremely conservative rating the amplifier at 50W per channel, the amp has enough grunt to drive serious loads.
5 separate power supplies, each with overload protection provide 107000uf, of which 21000uf is reserved for the preamp only. The power amplifier specifically runs on a dual mono configuration, with separate windings on the toroidal transformer.
WBT nextgenTM speaker terminals ensure the massive flow of current is able to drive hungry speakers.
Volume attenuation is managed by the legendary blue ALPS pot. Signal switches are implemented via relays.
A soft start circuit based on a 30A relay helps minimise burden or wear.
The stereo/mono switch gives you the chance to enjoy recordings in genuine mono, while still driving both speakers, removing the artificial phase discrepancies that occur in a mandatory stereo mode.
