Time to pull out that old SACD collection!
Marantz shied away from calling the UD7006 a 'bluray player' for good reason, it allows for SACD playback in addition to red book CD, DVD and Bluray.
There are 7.1 analogue outputs available for those still running analogue multichannel rigs, and of course stereo 2 channel RCA outputs, in addition to old-school component video outputs.
We all know the analogue output stage on a multidisc player at this level is often the sound quality bottleneck. Thanks to a digital coaxial output, you can send the digital stream from your SACDs into a quality DAC and simply use the unit as a disc transport.
