Overview

A capable multichannel receiver with a slew of connection options, including HDMI ARC and dual subwoofer outputs, Marantz SR7005 caps out at Dolby True HD and DTS HD. While it isn't Atmos or DTS-X compatible, for those more focused on classic film soundtracks it provides robust power to drive larger speakers and has a focus on 2 channel music playback thanks to the included 'Direct' and 'Pure Direct' listening modes which bypass a significant portion of the digital sections and provide a reduced noise-floor and cleaner output for stereo listening.

Pre-amp and dual 12v trigger outputs provide an upgrade path to include additional power amplifiers.

A true receiver in name and nature, AM and FM radio is also accessible using additional but easy to source antennas.
