Overview
Rarely do we have so many SACD players in store as we have now, but without question the Marantz Reference Series SA-14S1 is the top performer.
Thanks to a newly developed center-mounted disc drive mechanism mounted on its own sub-chassis, isolation and vibration are hugely reduced, allowing bit perfect reading with little jitter or errors.
The power supply features a high current toroidal power transformer with Oxygen Free Copper secondary windings.
In addition to stereo and multi-channel SACD playback, the SA-14S1 also offers multiple digital inputs so it can be used as a standalone DAC fed by a dedicated digital transport.
