A true home cinema and stereo all-rounder, AV8805A offers both RCA and XLR outputs to connect your suite of power amplifiers (a natural pair is the MM8077 power amplifier, both in looks and sound profile). The 8805A is one of the rare pre-pro's that also includes an analogue XLR input for connecting a dedicated streamer/DAC or other audio player.
All the current popular formats, including Dolby Atmos, DTS-X and Auro-3D, are fully decodable, and the unit also offers a "Pure Direct" mode for dedicated stereo playback where even the screen is turned off to maximise fidelity.
For those still running devices through an AVR, rather than connecting to the TV and sending the audio to the receiver via eARC, the HDMI in/out/through provides all the latest buzzwords for movies and gaming - HDR10+, HLG, Dolby Vision, 4:4:4 color resolution and BT.2020, Dynamic HDR, 8K/60Hz pass-through or upscaling, Quick Media Switching (QMS), 4K/120Hz pass-through, Variable Refresh Rate (VRR), Auto Low Latency Mode (ALLM) and Quick Frame Transport (QFT).
