S50 Wireless II is a fully-integrated High-Fidelity Active Speaker System featuring wireless compatibility with streaming applications including AirPlay 2, Chromecast, and Roon.
Delivering award-winning sound in up to 24bit/384kHz for music streaming, the LS50 Wireless II is equipped with KEF’s 12th Generation Uni-Q driver array and the industry-first Metamaterial Absorption Technology (MAT).
The LS50 Wireless II comes with two channels of power amplification (one for each driver), both upgraded in terms of capacity compared to the first-generation LS50 Wireless and the KEF Musical Integrity Engine (MIE). The LS50 Wireless II crossover has been redesigned from its passive counterpart (LS50) to make the most of custom Digital Signal Processing, offering finer control over the sample quality.
LS50 Wireless II consists of a Primary and a Secondary speaker, which can be connected wirelessly or with the provided cable. The former incorporates adjustments applicable to both speakers, such as bass extension, room acoustic compensation, source selection and placement/EQ. Bass may be extended to lower frequencies than is limited by the usual passive cabinet-size/sensitivity trade-off, the balance may be adjusted for speaker position and room acoustics, and the all-pass delay inherent in passive crossovers may be eliminated.
Acoustic adjustments can be made using the KEF Connect app - available on both iOS and Android platforms.
