The new Q8 Meta features an integrated wall mount, allowing it to be used as a high-fidelity surround or rear speaker. Alternatively, it can be placed on top of another speaker, delivering Dolby Atmos sound without the need for custom installation. Revolutionary Sound Absorption with MAT™
The key advancement in the Q Series is the integration of Metamaterial Absorption Technology (MAT), which enhances the 12th generation Uni-Q driver array for superior accuracy and clarity. MAT’s intricate maze-like structure absorbs 99% of unwanted sound from the rear of the tweeter, eliminating distortion and delivering a purer, more natural sound.

Superior KEF Sound
The 12th generation Uni-Q driver array with MAT, found in all Q Series models, offers an incredibly detailed performance. The array is redesigned to work seamlessly with MAT, featuring a custom waveguide, enhanced tweeter gap damper, and improved decoupling to reduce distortion and provide lifelike sound. These innovations ensure the Q Series delivers unparalleled transparency and clarity.

Upgraded 3-Way Design
The Q Series now features a 3-way design, separating frequencies for more precise performance. The Uni-Q driver handles high and midrange frequencies, while a dedicated bass driver manages low frequencies. This separation reduces distortion and improves detail and clarity in the midrange and high frequencies.

Deep and Clean Bass
A new hybrid bass driver with an aluminium and paper cone enhances stiffness for better bass punch and agility. The optimised surround geometry improves linearity, while the flared port minimises turbulence and noise, resulting in cleaner, more controlled bass even at high volumes.

Refined Crossover Design
Engineers use over 1,000 measurements for each speaker model to ensure seamless integration of all components. This precise crossover design optimises performance, drawing from innovations used in KEF’s LS50 Meta, Blade, and Reference Series.

Shadow Flare for Enhanced Clarity
Shadow Flare technology, derived from KEF’s flagship models, reduces cabinet diffraction, allowing the Uni-Q driver to perform at its best. By minimising diffraction, Shadow Flare enhances clarity, revealing subtle details in music, such as delicate cymbal brushwork or piano overtones.
