Overview
The pinnacle of B&W's 700 Series, 702S3 offers Bowers and Wilkin's signature sound and key technologies in an attractive floorstanding tower that won't completely dominate your space.
The now iconic Solid Body Tweeter-on-Top housing is milled from a single solid block of aluminium to better resist resonance, and is largely decoupled from the main enclosure. Inside you'll find a carbon dome tweeter capable of 47kHz.
Another B&W favourite, the composite constructed Continuum cone handles the all-important midrange, managed by another in-house development, Biomimetic Suspension.
The three bass drivers also include another in-house achievement, Aerofoil Profile bass cones.
While many speaker manufacturers, even at considerably higher price points, use off-the-shelf drivers and borrowed technologies, Bowers and Wilkins have a literal goody-bag of proprietary technology to explore and deploy. Even the downward-firing bass port is an iteration of B&W's Flowport technology.
