This design ensures the cartridge is held securely above the record, aiding in the effective transmission of vibrations away from the cartridge for unparalleled sound reproduction.
Innovative Design and Versatility
Incorporating AVID's proprietary adjustable dual bias system, the Altus Tonearm allows for independent adjustment of anti-skate force across different sections of a record. This innovation optimizes tracking accuracy and playback fidelity. The tonearm is painstakingly hand-built with micron-tight tolerances, utilizing high-specification ball race bearings fitted to both horizontal and vertical bearing shafts. These components are machined and ground to micron limits, ensuring minimal friction and precise movement.
