Overview

Machined from a single block of aluminum, Aries' Unity Chassis has been carefully designed to shield the internals against electromagnetic radiation while offering superior damping and absorption, and mass balancing.

The Lightning DS platform is a dream to use, but the unit is also Roon Ready and accessible via some third-party applications. For those with local files, network sharing is a breeze and there is space to add an internal 2.5" SSD. 

Two internal linear power supplies are separated to protect the sensitive audio components, the femto-clock-based timing generator, and USB audio output. The processor, LCD display, and mass storage share the second PS.

Galvanic isolation of individual circuits protects against electromagnetic interference via two dedicated high-speed galvanic isolators. The noise-sensitive femto clock, digital audio transmission systems, and central signal processing are completely isolated from one another.

Signal transmission is possible up to DSD512 or PCM 32-bit/384kHz.

The onboard Wifi cuts down on cables - though we do recommend hardwiring the unit for ultimate sound quality, and to better handle hi-res streams.
