Audio Technica AT-LPA2 Manual Belt Drive Turntable

Overview

The AT-LPA2 is the finest turntable Audio-Technica has ever developed, designed to reveal the purity of analogue audio.

Made from transparent acrylic, the AT-LPA2 manual belt-drive turntable combines contemporary aesthetics with analogue expertise, also easy to set up and use.

Audio Technica designed the AT-LPA2 to minimize resonance, which can cause noise and distortion in the signal chain, while maximizing detailed audio reproduction of your vinyl records with crystal-clear accuracy. Not only is the acrylic stunning to look at, it is also an ideal material for turntable construction. Acrylic greatly reducing reverberations that might otherwise affect sound clarity.

External Power Supply and Control Unit

To minimize electrical interference and ensure optimal performance, the AT-LPA2 features a separate power and control unit. This design isolates the sensitive audio components from power supply noise, resulting in a cleaner, more accurate sound.

Key Features

  • Fully manual, belt-drive operation with two speeds: 33-1/3 and 45 RPM

  • 30 mm-thick transparent chassis is made from low-resonance, high-density clear acrylic

  • 20 mm-thick, high-density transparent acrylic platter is calibrated to spin at a consistent speed

  • AT-OC9EXN MC cartridge* with 0.3 x 0.7 mil elliptical nude stylus provides detailed sound reproduction with excellent channel separation and low distortion

  • Separate control unit / power supply isolates the turntable from unwanted electrical noise

  • Optical sensor, positioned under the spindle, monitors platter rotation to maintain accurate speed

  • Newly designed, carbon-fibre tonearm is precision-engineered for superior tracking and stability, with adjustable VTA

  • Highly accurate and finely adjustable weighted anti-skate mechanism (string-type)

  • Includes both a 110 g and 130 g counterweight to accommodate most cartridge configurations

  • Exclusive machined-aluminium headshell with azimuth adjustment

  • Phono-level output provides pure, direct transmission of the cartridge’s signal

  • Exclusively designed heavy-duty, height-adjustable feet isolate the turntable from vibration

  • Includes dual RCA (male) to dual RCA (male) stereo cable, ground wire, 45 RPM adapter, removable hinged dust cover, hex wrench (to adjust tonearm height), white inspection gloves (to prevent fingerprints during setup)]
