Overview
Spendor's signature sound is available in all it's glory in a neat and compact cabinet that doesn't necessarily require a large space or dedicated listening room.
Thanks to a wide dispersion pattern that creates a large sweet spot, music can be shared with a significant other without having to swap seats, and the soundstage isn't lost when seated slightly off-axis.
The A2 is rear ported, so while it does benefit from some distance from the rear wall, the cross-over slope is gentle enough that the rear-wall bass reinforcement continued to sound reasonably natural as the speaker was brought nearer.
While the stated 85dB sensitivity isn't overly efficient, the A2 works well with modest wattage amplifiers and doesn't need a large power reserve to get the mid/bass driver moving.
