Overview
Sydney's Charl Du Plessis and his team studied a range of top amplifier designs before designing the Model A integrated valve amplifier. "We took topologies from those we thought sounded great and combined them with our own ideas of what makes a well-priced, exceptional sounding valve amplifier," he explains.
The design goal for this triode/ultra-linear amplifier was straightforward: create a user-friendly tube amp that delivers stunning sound with practical features.
The Model A offers foolproof biasing, ensuring the valves receive the right voltage. It also features a retro-style meter that tracks the hours logged by the valves. A rear switch allows users to toggle between Triode and Ultra-linear modes, offering versatility in sound.
In Triode mode, the Model A delivers 20 watts per channel, while Ultra-linear mode increases output to 40 watts per channel.
