Includes: Remote and Power Cable (no box)

SN: 1699

Made in USA

Overview

A true classic. The first Mark Levinson preamplifier to include a remote control and capitalising on their proprietary MDAC resistor network, the No.38 doesn't digitise the audio signal but rather uses digital control for affecting the analog signal.

No.38 is a fully balanced throughout, using a true two-channel gain stage, the power supply is centered in the chassis to further isolate the signals. To take full advantage of the architecture, 2 balanced XLR inputs are included along with a true balanced output.

A clean, dynamic preamplifier that sounds great with similar vintage power amps, while pairing with a modern A/B or class D power amplifier really shows how ahead of it's time the unit really was.
