Overview
Regarded as one of the premier tonearm designs, there are companies offering services to upgrade lower spec Fidelity Research arms to FR-66S standard. To do this, they use non-original parts. This consignment FR-66S is an original model, using all original parts.
The arm body is made of high strength stainless steel and the counter-weight is a multi-layered design of lead in a stainless steel outer shell. The arm outlet uses a collect chuck method, and the dynamic balance method is used for needle pressure application.
A solid brass mounting plate as shown in final few photos is available as an optional extra.
