Overview

C200 Preamplifier

The Accuphase C-200 stereo control amplifier features direct-coupled, push-pull drivers in all stages, significantly enhancing performance before applying negative feedback, resulting in an equalizer circuit with exceptional fidelity and stability. Its complementary-symmetry, Class A amplifiers, using robust power transistors and symmetrical dual power supplies, handle inputs up to 400mV rms at 1 kHz with less than 0.05% distortion.

The C-200 includes a disc low enhance switch, providing 0, +0.5, and +1 dB adjustments at 100 Hz, enriching bass tones. Disc level controls allow easy level unification for Disc 1 and Disc 2, with Disc 1 offering impedance matching for transformer-coupled moving coil cartridges via a 3-point switch (47, 30, or 20 K ohms). A subsonic filter eliminates low-frequency vibrations below 25 Hz, preventing intermodulation distortion.

For private listening, the C-200 includes a dedicated, directly coupled headphone amplifier. The power supply delivers consistently regulated DC output, unaffected by AC line fluctuations. Bass and treble tone controls, each with 10-step selection and two turnover frequencies, offer a wide range of tone adjustments, with a switch for instant comparison to a flat response.

The C-200 provides 10 input and 7 output terminals, accommodating a variety of program sources and installations. It supports up to three tape recorders simultaneously, enabling tape copying while listening to another source, thanks to an independent tape copying switch.

P300 Power Amplifier

A quality power amplifier should deliver deep, rich bass and capture the subtle nuances of music that evoke deep emotions. It needs to reproduce both the softest and loudest passages with precision, all while handling large input amplitudes without distortion. The P-300 effortlessly meets these demands, thanks to its large, heavy-duty power transformer, 2 x 40,000 microfarad filter capacitors, and all-stage push-pull circuit configuration, featuring carefully selected and rigorously tested components.
