Auralic VEGA S1 Streaming DAC Preamplifier
The S1 is AURALiC's newest entry-level audio streamer, boasting the advanced Tesla G3 streaming platform. It draws upon the premium audio innovations of the revered G2.2 reference line, including features like Direct Memory Access (DMA), Direct Data Recording (DDR), Fusion DAC, Galvanic Isolation, and more. Offered in two versions, the ARIES S1 comes with USB and digital outputs, whereas the VEGA S1 provides XLR and RCA analog outputs. Both variants facilitate smooth streaming via Ethernet using AURALiC’s Lightning DS, AirPlay 2, TIDAL Connect, Spotify Connect, Internet Radio, and various digital input options. Moreover, the S1 is set to become Roon Ready following Roon certification. For audio purists seeking to elevate their sound quality, AURALiC offers the optional S1 Purer-Power External Power Supply Unit, promising an unmatched audio experience for those prioritizing performance and fidelity.

AURALiC introduces two groundbreaking technologies in the VEGA S1: PureDAC mode and Tone Mode adjustment. PureDAC mode allows the VEGA S1 to deactivate all streaming and network functions, allocating all resources to digital signal processing and conversion tasks. In this mode, the VEGA S1 employs Direct Data Recording technology to cache music signals from any digital or USB input over the past hour in the Tesla G3's system memory, enabling users to replay music from any desired point at any time.
Furthermore, the Tone Mode adjustment enhances the DAC's output sound character by introducing harmonic elements into the music signal, grounded in auditory psychology principles.
