Auralic ARIES S1 Digital Audio Streamer
The S1 is AURALiC's newest entry-level audio streamer, boasting the advanced Tesla G3 streaming platform. It draws upon the premium audio innovations of the revered G2.2 reference line, including features like Direct Memory Access (DMA), Direct Data Recording (DDR), Fusion DAC, Galvanic Isolation, and more. Offered in two versions, the ARIES S1 comes with USB and digital outputs, whereas the VEGA S1 provides XLR and RCA analog outputs. Both variants facilitate smooth streaming via Ethernet using AURALiC’s Lightning DS, AirPlay 2, TIDAL Connect, Spotify Connect, Internet Radio, and various digital input options. Moreover, the S1 is set to become Roon Ready following Roon certification. For audio purists seeking to elevate their sound quality, AURALiC offers the optional S1 Purer-Power External Power Supply Unit, promising an unmatched audio experience for those prioritizing performance and fidelity.
The ARIES S1 has evolved significantly from a simple streaming transport or bridge to a powerful streaming processor. With enhanced onboard processing capabilities, the ARIES S1 now offers a range of processing features designed to optimize the audio signal, including a high-quality resampler, parametric equalizer, speaker placement compensation, and loudness leveling. For the first time in the ARIES series, this product can handle incoming signals from both digital and USB inputs. Utilizing its advanced Tesla G3 platform, the ARIES S1 processes the signal to effectively eliminate jitter and artifacts before applying user-selected enhancements to improve audio quality. The processed signal is then delivered through digital or USB connections, ensuring a listening experience that remains true to the original source.
