C-05 Preamplifier 

The C-05 preamplifier, designed to complement the M-05, features an innovative single-stage amplifier circuit utilizing Luxman's proprietary duo-beta technology. This approach balances an optimized amount of NFB (negative feedback) for enhanced sound quality with a DC servo to tighten the sound image beyond the audible spectrum. By simplifying the circuit to a single-stage design, the C-05 eliminates the need for a second-stage amplifier, ensuring stable open-loop characteristics and minimizing modulation and noise introduced by power supply fluctuations. This design also avoids interference from staggered frequency corrections common in multi-stage amplification, preserving the purity and freshness of the music.

The head amplifier employs a single-stage differential cascode design with low-noise transistors, while the equalizer and flat amplifiers use a symmetrical differential double-cascode push-pull circuit. This configuration delivers low distortion, high signal-to-noise performance, and faithful music reproduction. The C-05 further enhances sound integrity by eliminating output capacitors, avoiding coloration between stages. The power supply section features an independent supply for the head amplifier and servo circuit, a compact circular transformer for stable voltage, and high-quality electrolytic capacitors to ensure low leakage and distortion.

M-05 Stereo Power Amplifier 

The M-05 stereo power amplifier features a twin monaural configuration and operates in true Class A mode using a direct bias current method. It delivers an impressive output of 105W + 105W, supported by a large custom-designed heat sink and low-noise fan, ensuring high-quality power delivery with ample headroom. For added versatility, the amplifier can function as a 400W monaural power amplifier in BTL mode, maintaining high fidelity through a dedicated inverter with an inverting input amplifier.

At the core of the M-05 is Luxman's duo-beta technology, which combines a precisely controlled amount of NFB (negative feedback) for sound quality with a DC servo that tightens sound imaging beyond the audible range. This design eliminates the need for high open-loop gain, enabling a simplified single-stage amplifier configuration without the drawbacks of conventional multi-stage designs.
