The preamplifier section employs Accuphase’s Balanced AAVA (Analog Vari-gain Amplifier) volume control. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe power amp section uses five-fold parallel push-pull bipolar power transistors operating in Class AB. A damping factor of 1,000 is achieved through a combination of low-impedance circuit design and Balanced Remote Sensing.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe power supply is a large toroidal transformer and two 40,000 μF filtering capacitors. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eSeparate left and right power amplifier modules reduce crosstalk, while speaker protection is managed by low-resistance MOS-FET switches rather than conventional mechanical relays. Additional protection circuitry detects speaker-terminal short circuits and monitors heatsink temperature.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eE-5000 offers five line-level inputs, two balanced inputs, recorder input and output connections, and both balanced and unbalanced preamplifier outputs.
